Yonna Jones, a Chicago-born rapper, R&B singer, and dancer, comes from a musical family with a singer/image consultant mother and DJ father. Inspired by her older brothers' youth rap group, she developed a passion for music, drawing influence from rappers like Lil' Wayne and Drake, and R&B artists like Lauryn Hill and Michael Jackson.
After moving to Nashville in high school, Yonna founded YMP (Yonna Movement Productions) and later attended MTSU, where she was mentored by Chrissy Collins and performed for Ludacris. Yonna creates "movement music" aimed at motivating and inspiring with messages of perseverance. She stands out with her diverse sound and vulnerability, aiming to inspire others to explore meaningful personal stories beyond mainstream hip-hop themes.
