Defining the "Class of the Year".

• How do I "make the list" for the Certified Class?
  Selection is an induction, not a competition. Our editorial board evaluates artist trajectory, project quality, and local impact. We select an exclusive class of only 5–6 artists per cycle who are undeniably shaping the city's musical identity.
   

• How often is a new class inducted?
  Renaissance Certified is a biannual honor. We induct two classes per year—one in the Spring and one in the Fall.
   

• What is expected of me if I am selected for the Class?
  Being "Certified" is an active partnership. To ensure a high-caliber showcase, selected artists are required to participate in:

  • Mandatory Rehearsals: Scheduled sessions to dial in your live set and stage presence.

  • Content Day: A dedicated day for interviews, flagship photography, and promotional filming.

  • Collaborative Rollout: Active engagement with the social media campaign leading up to the show.
     

• If I wasn't selected this year, can I be considered for the next Class?
  Absolutely. Evolution is a core requirement for being "Certified." We don't just look at where you are; we look at where you’re going. Our editorial board keeps an active "Watchlist" of previous applicants—showing growth between the Spring and Fall cycles is one of the fastest ways to prove you belong.
